Rudee Inlet is located at the southern end of Virginia Beach's resort area. The Inlet marinas are home to the areas offshore fishing charters. It is primarily home to the area's offshore sport fishing fleet which consist of 40 foot to 60 foot sport fishing boats. The offshore fishing fleet can quickly and comfortably get fishermen out to the waters that are home to some of the area's biggest fish. The Rudee Angler, Mariner, and Whaler have been spending the fall out deep dropping on 17hour, 9hour, and 6hour trips and have had some of the best fishing in years. The 17hour trips have been catching Blueline Tilefish, Seabass, and most. Rudee Tours has been entertaining locals and tourists with Dolphin Cruises, Fishing Trips, and Speed Boat Rides longer and better than anyone in Virginia Beach. For something slower paced but no less exciting you can take a tour with Rudee Flipper and Rudee Whaler, watch the dolphins with Rudee Flipper, or marvel at the size of humpback and fin whales with Rudee Whaler. If fishing is what you enjoy you can throw a line out with Rudee Deep Sea fishing, or you can take a tour with the Rudee Explorer that operates under the Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center to explore the Virginia Marshland.
Winning megabucks number. The Rudee Angler, Mariner, and Whaler have been spending the fall out deep dropping on 17hour, 9hour, and 6hour trips and have had some of the best fishing in years.
The 17hour trips have been catching Blueline Tilefish, Seabass, and most recently, some really nice Grouper. Within the last week there were 2 Snowy Grouper caught that weighed in at 32# and 53#. There have been consistent catches of Tilefish 15# and up and dozens of citations caught per trip.
The 9hour and 6hour trips continue to produce great catches of Seabass and the Triggerfish bite is the best it has been in 5+ years.
The 17hour trips will continute to run through the month of October until Tilefish season ends. Starting November 1, we will be running 9hour and 12hour trips fishing predominantly for Seabass and Flounder.
